This IS the desert, but...

We had a lot of rain in November and December. The first picture is a tree that blew over just outside our building. It was so funny because we were out and about in the morning, came back for the boys' nap and on our way back out in the afternoon the tree was down.
The second two pictures are from the greenbelt just behind our complex. Normally it's a dry wash, where we go out to play and where people walk their dogs. After a few days of rain, it was like a little river.
Everyone here was all abuzz about the rain. We were kind of like, "Ah, it's just rain." But then again, we've been in England for two years where it rains A LOT. :)

The last time I was in Phoenix (quite a while ago) there was a lot of talk about how all the people putting in grass and increasing water consumption was changing the climate by adding more humidity. Interesting. We were in TX over Christmas break, and it didn't rain at all.

Cute Mason video. I don't have an Uncle Dude, but I do have an Uncle Stinky.
